Care Instructions
I use mostly vintage Japanese silk and contemporary cotton to make my handbags. They all have a canvas interior which makes them sturdy and durable. If you need to spot clean, please use a soft clean white cloth and do not rub harshly. If the cloth you are using to spot clean is too wet, the canvas underneath will most likely stain the fabric. Soaking up excess liquid from spills or during cleaning can help limit spots left after it has dried. It is best to test a small area of the fabric in an inconspicuous place to insure a good outcome. If needed, you can iron the handbag to shape it again.
I do not recommend washing the handbags neither by hand nor in the washing machine. I strongly caution against washing them because the handbags will shrink a little and they will lose their stiffness and the colors of the canvas and fabric may bleed.
It is possible to dry clean the handbags, but many dry cleaners are unwilling to work with one-of-a-kind items.
Once again, I do not recommend washing the handbags or accessories. I cannot be responsible for damage due to normal wear, machine/hand washing, or dry cleaning. Please feel free to contact me if you need specific cleaning guidance.
